Archaeological site antique Basilica in Crkvna in Breza was announced as a national monument of Bosna and Herzegovina. National monument is composed of two parts: remains of antique basilica and findings discovered in the basilica closest area, which is kept in Zemaljski muzej in Sarajevo. The Basilica was built between 6th and 7th century, and it was found in 1930 by custodian of Zemaljski muzej in Sarajevo, Dr Gregor Cremosnik. It is 27 m length and 19 m wide. Hypothesis says that was built during the emperor Justinian, right after the Eastern Gothic state had collapsed or even during the war between Byzantine Empire and Gothic state, when this area was conquered (about 537 AD).
